For your neighbourhood coffee shop with several stalls, this has 2 pretty good stalls. One is the curry laksa stall with a rich curry and option for using wantan noodles instead of the regular yellow noodle. The other one is the chicken rice stall that has both white and roasted chicken, char siew and roast pork. This stall is very popular especially for its roast pork that sells out in under 2 hours. The stall opens about 10am, the roast pork is available from around 12pm and long queues will be there waiting.

Stopped by this old local kopitiam after my hike and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! I had the curry wantan mee and it was excellent. The curry was flavorful and the char siew was a highlight — soft, tender, and well-seasoned, unlike the usual red, dry versions you often find in curry mee. Also tried the auntie’s chee cheong fun, and it had that nostalgic “old taste” — silky smooth, not too hard, just the right texture. The kopitiam itself is simple, nothing fancy or “aesthetic,” but that’s the charm. It keeps the true local vibe with stalls still run by locals instead of foreign workers, which makes the experience feel even more authentic. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving some good old Malaysian comfort food.

Unassuming place with simple food that left me very satisfied. They have waffle bak Kua sandwiches which is something unusual. I bought that for others but will come and have a try of it. I like the noodle stall which was very filling and veggie filled when I requested. She suggested I stick with the regular portion which was a very good call. Just look at how large it was! Doesn't it look delicious?

Try the chicken rice there, the char siew is pretty good. You can try it. Another thing to compliment is, when the chicken store is about to close, one of his staff dropped the One use plastic condiment plate. Even though it is new and unused, the boss do ask the employee to throw it. Which means they are really aware of the cleanliness of their products.
